Ready to join a Project90 initiative? This application is for current UCalgary students who want to take initiative on a technical project team rooted in community impact.

Submitting this form is the first step in our selection process. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to participate in an interview.

What is a “project”?
Project90 supports engineering projects usually carried out by teams of 8–12 students over two academic semesters. Projects typically move through a design phase, a build phase, and an integration and testing phase. Past projects have included an adaptive standing frame for a child with cerebral palsy and arthrogryposis, a clean water system for a rural village in Costa Rica, and a pressure-sensing prosthetic sock to help clinicians improve prosthetic limb fit. 

What does a General Member do?

• Spend 5-15 hours (depending on the project and time of year) per week on a P90 project.
• Contribute to the design, development, and execution of a P90 project.
• Take on technical and/or non-technical tasks as assigned by Project and Technical Leaders.
• Bring ideas, creativity, compassion, and problem-solving skills to project development.
• Gain hands-on engineering experience while impacting a community/individual in need.
