What is a “project”?
Project90 supports engineering projects usually carried out by teams of 8–12 students over two academic semesters. Projects typically move through a design phase, a build phase, and an integration and testing phase. Past projects have included an adaptive standing frame for a child with cerebral palsy and arthrogryposis, a clean water system for a rural village in Costa Rica, and a pressure-sensing prosthetic sock to help clinicians improve prosthetic limb fit.
What does a Project Lead do?
- Coordinate with Co-Project Lead to guide a team of students through the project design and development process
- Coordinate meetings, timelines, and deliverables
- Work with executive members and external partners (nonprofits, sponsors, etc.)
- Support a collaborative, inclusive, and goal-oriented team environment
