Student Support & School Needs Assessment

What if a challenge your school faces today became a student engineering project tomorrow?

A collaborative initiative between Project90 UCalgary and Seeds of Success.

Project90 UCalgary is collaborating with Seeds of Success to better understand the challenges students and educators face in school communities. Through this initiative, we hope to identify barriers affecting student success and explore how engineering, design, and innovation may help create practical solutions that improve accessibility, inclusion, and educational outcomes.

Schools and educators continuously adapt to meet the diverse needs of students, often with limited funding, resources, and support. While many challenges are visible, others can be harder to identify or address, including:

  • Accessibility barriers
  • Sensory and neurodivergent support needs
  • Limited access to adaptive tools
  • Technology gaps
  • Resource constraints
  • Participation challenges for students with disabilities

We believe the people closest to these challenges are best positioned to identify them. This survey is an opportunity to share your experiences and help shape future community-focused projects. Take the survey today to help us identify challenges that deserve attention and inspire future projects that support school communities.
