Project90 is a Student-Led Organization at the University of Calgary focused on serving the 90% of society that lack sufficient resources and recognition. We work alongside non-profit organizations that center themselves around local communities in need.

DWC Costa Rica Water System

With the help of Developing World Connections (DWC), the Project90 Team travelled to Taus, Costa Rica, to design and implement a water system to restore clean water access.

  • Inspected flaws and planned repairs for a 35-year-old water system
  • Designed & installed a new water source capture tank
  • 100% increase in total tank capacity & flow rate

With the help of the Ability Workshop Society’s staff and resources, Project90 team members designed & built a custom assistive device engineered for a child with cerebral palsy and arthrogryposis, focusing on upright mobility, digestion, and comfort.

  • Fully Custom Design using Solidworks
  • In-House PVC prototype
  • Industry-grade metal and cushioned finish for final deliverable

Habitat for Humanity Developments

Habitat for Humanity Developments

Enabled by the Habitat for Humanity Housing developments around greater Calgary, Project90 students have been volunteering in providing additional helping hands in creating affordable housing for families who’ve recently settled into Canada.

  • On-going volunteering efforts have been present for ~18 months
  • Completed volunteering commitments for 20 families
  • Taught construction skills for volunteers on-site
