Project90 UCalgary

Project Lead Expression of Interest

Interested in leading a Project90 initiative? This form is for current UCalgary students who want to take on a leadership role in guiding a project team, coordinating progress, and working alongside partners to bring impact-driven ideas to life.

This form is an Expression of Interest (EOI). It is not a formal application. Submitting this form allows us to better understand your interest in becoming a Project Lead (PL). Selected individuals may be contacted to complete a formal application or participate in a follow-up process.

What is a “project”?
Project90 supports engineering projects usually carried out by teams of 8–12 students over two academic semesters. Projects typically move through a design phase, a build phase, and an integration and testing phase. Past projects have included an adaptive standing frame for a child with cerebral palsy and arthrogryposis, a clean water system for a rural village in Costa Rica, and a pressure-sensing prosthetic sock to help clinicians improve prosthetic limb fit.

What does a Project Lead do?

  • Coordinate with Co-Project Lead to guide a team of students through the project design and development process
  • Coordinate meetings, timelines, and deliverables
  • Work with executive members and external partners (nonprofits, sponsors, etc.)
  • Support a collaborative, inclusive, and goal-oriented team environment
